THREE CASES OF TELEPORTATION: [SOURCE~ ENCOUNTER CASES FROM FLYING SAUCER REVIEW, edited by Charles Bowen, a Signet Book, NEW AMERICAN LIBRARY, 1977]
#1) On Oct. 25th, 1593, a Spanish soldier suddenly appeared on the Plaza Mayor (the principal square)of Mexico City. He should have been with his army at Manila, the Philippines, and he or anyone else could account for this strange "appearance." He also told the people gathered that His Excellency Don Gomez Perez Dasmarinas, governor of the Philippines, WAS DEAD!
They threw the soldier in jail as an apparent deserter. WEEKS PASSED....And then suddenly Mexico City was full of the news: the governor of the Philippines was, in fact, dead and he died on the very day that the soldier had said weeks ago!?!
THE MOST HOLY TRIBUANL of the INQUISITION questioned the soldier, but all he could say in his defense was that he traveled from Manila to Mexico "in less time than it takes a cock to crow."
The soldier was returned to Manila and it was found that he indeed was on duty the night of October 24th, 1593....The only explanation that could account for this: TELEPORTATION!~~~~~~~~~~~BUT BY WHOM???????????????????
#2) An important Argentine businessman was traveling from Buenos Aires to Bahia Blanca in 1959. He just got in his brand new car when , suddenly ~ he was aware that a "cloudy mass was enveloping the whole car." He then found himself alone on a deserted road. He stopped a passing driver to take him to Bahia Blanca, but found that he was in a place called Salta, which was over a 1000 kilometers away; furthermore, the businessman looked at his watch and found to his utter amazement that only a few minutes had passed since he had gotten into his car at Bahia Blanca[?]
They then contacted the police who themselves were dumbfounded; subsequently, they wired the officials at Bohia Blanca and found the businessman's car still running next to the hotel where he had been right before the mysterious cloudy mass had enveloped his car?!? [NO FURTHER DETAILS COULD BE GOTTEN ON THIS MOST BIZARRE CASE.]
#3) "now you see it...">>>On Nov. 19th, 1963, a Mr. Kinoshita of the Fuji Bank in Tokyo, traveling in a car with two other businessmen (one a client of the bank), had a car in view, only 150 yards ahead of them. The car in question was a black car ~ a Toyopet New Crown ~ and it had a Toyoto registration number which none of the three witnesses were able to memorize. In the left-hand rear seat sat an elderly man who was reading a newspaper.
Suddenly, "a puff of something gaseous, like white smoke or vapor, gushed out from somewhere around the black car." Five seconds afterward, the cloud dispersed and the black car was gone ~ VANISHED INTO THIN AIR!!!
This story was reported in the evening edition of the 'MAINAACHI' Japanese newspaper, but despite any follow-up inquiries, including the editorial staff of 'THIS SOURCE' ~~no further information could be retrieved about the car or its passenger. [IT REMAINS JUST ANOTHER 'UNSOLVED MYSTERY' in the land of the strange & very unusual!]

ANOTHER AREA OF CONCERN FROM THE SAME SOURCE is the SPECTRE PHENOMENON:[The following case was investigated by Charles Bowen-PERSONALLY!]
There have been many case in "UFOLOGY" that involve more ethereal types of reports ~ like the "FLATWOODS, West Virgina case 0f 1952 where a group of children had seen a spectre-like figure with a blood-red face & glowing greenish orange eyes. THEY RAN-AND I GUESS, YOU WOULD TOO!!! But the "SPECTRE OF WINTERFOLD" involved two adults who were reported as down-to-earth- fun-loving people who just had an unfortunate & bizarre occurrence in 1967:
Between Nov. 12 & 13th Philip Freeman & Angela Carter were riding in an area of woodlands of Hurtwood Common in England, between Winterfold & Pitch Hill. Philip's car front window started to mist-over, so he exited the car with the motor still running to "leather" the front window. (The investigator, Mr. Bowen, said he knew this area well.)
Just then, there was an unpleasnat smell (like a stinkbomb) which Bowen questioned both Philip & Angela on independently. They both gave the exact same answer ~ as well as to the events that I am about to relate:
Even though they were in the middle of a pitch-black wood with no light available, as Philip reentered the car, he saw a "FACE" through the near-side passenger window. He estimated it to be about 10 inches long & 8 inches wide, and stated it was close up to the window. There were no visable features like eyes, nose, or mouth; it was blank, and white, and sharply defined. (It even had a luminous tinge.) There was also something that looked like an "arm" which was reaching up to the top of the car's hood. HE WAS SUDDENLY TERRIFIED AND FELT VERY COLD.! Angela, who had witnessed the revolting smell, when she saw the look of horror on Philip's face, refused to look backward. (THIS, IN ITSELF, HAS THE RING OF TRUTH ABOUT IT.)
When Charles Bowen questioned Angela about this, here is what she said: "There was an 'atmosphere' which alarmed me. I knew by the look on Philip's face, and by my own 'feeling' that something horrible was out there."
Philip said that the rest of the body was not white at all, but dark, and it moved to the back of the car. He could see a dark bell shape surmounted by two white luminous parts. It stood about 41/2 feet tall. The sighting only lasted two minutes before Philip decided to flee....He has never retracted his testimony, despite the "flack" he had to endure from his workmates. Mr. Bowen had observed that the smell recounted by both Philip & Angela reminded him of the smell from the FLATLANDS CASE where the smell reported by the children resembled "bad eggs" like H2S ~~ or like a "STINKBOMB!"
[[lebeau observation: Both Gordon Creighton & Charles Bowen had speculated that if what Philip & Angela had seen were reported 600 years ago, they would have been ascribed to the manifestations of the devil ~ especially with the smell of "stinkbomb" ~ ala "BRIMSTONE!"....If you read works like THE NEW TESTAMENT or THE NAG HAMMADI LIBRARY or research cases of 'EXORCISM' as I have done, you could not help feeling that maybe these 'SPECTRES' are somehow connected to "THE ABYSS" ~~~OR~~~that place where evil being (spirits) were cast down for not being very nice!!! After all, if you believe in dimensions existing with life in or upon them, then just remember that a dimension may not be any further away than the thickness of a maple leaf~~~which was understood by a holy man in the EAST!!! Who knows what can lift that very thin veil......and DON'T SAY: THE SHADDOW KNOWS! PLEASE!!!]]

THE FOURTH APPLE TREE FROM THE ROAD
Sure this following story ~ although true ~ may seem pointless to some, just like some may feel that life is POINTLESS also....We find ourselves somewhere on a French road. It is 1974. It is very dark out yet. It is 5:30am....
The details are not really important. That's the point! What little there are ~ I will share with you....
A very lonely man who kept mainly to himself was riding a non-descript moped. He rode down this same road every day and expected to do so until he finally died. Nothing in life held any importance to him; he was in a shell and expected to remain that way until he died....
He thought that stories about FLYING SAUCERS were "twaddle" so stories about the beings in them would be ~ more than twaddle!!! As he rode down the dark road, two men stopped him by putting their hands on his moped's handles.
What really 'got him' was that he never slowed down or applied the moped's brakes or anything...they were just suddenly there; and they weren't just men. He later called them "cosmonauts". In his entire 59 years on the planet, he never encountered something like this before and he was getting very nervous.
Off to his left, he noticed a dark circular mass off the road about three feet down. It was even darker than the dark night at this time in the morning. He thought to himself: it was their "machine" which looked as big as two cars and about six feet high without any landing gear or windows or anything. The man was now very frightened!
The two ufonauts started to gesture at him in a "quasi-human" fashion that they wanted the man to eat something. One of the ufonauts reached behind him for something the man could not see because of the utter dark. They pulled forth a piece of some substance that they wanted the man to eat.
The man was now completely terrified but he took the small round square and ate it. It looked like a piece of brown chocolate but had no detectable taste. The "cosmonauts" did not let him go until he finished the small piece of "food".
His memory was quite dim after that....The man was so scared that he does not remember if his moped was still running when the "cosmonauts" left to reenter their ship.
Two months later an investigation began: the man had no ill effects from the "piece of chocolate" but he had become even more uncommunicative than before, speaking less and less. He paid no visit to his doctor, even though his doctor was interested in the UFO phenomenon; the doctor, strangely, never was curious enough to visit the man either, so this part of the investigation went for naught!
Even though the man never made an official report (and he swore he never would)~ his coworkers noticed that he was acting odd when he went to work that day and started to quiz him about his encounter. The man was mocked ridiculed and made the butt of many nasty jokes for just innocently telling them the truth of what he encountered. (HOW SAD IS THIS?) Even his neighbors who did not necessarily believe him, went to the very spot where he said the encounter took place ~ THE FOURTH APPLE TREE FROM THE ROAD ~ and, to their amazement, found that the marks from the UFO were still there. The researchers said that the neighbors were "honest, reliable people."
According to the man, the beings themselves were less than six feet in height, and wore dark one-piece spacesuits with square helmets that the man could not see through to see their faces. They also wore gloves that went way up their arms like the kind of gloves worn for the artificial insemination of cattle.
On a third dimensional level, this is a very sad story ~ almost POINTLESS! However, as part of a slice of TOTAL REALITY ~ WHO KNOWS? Although the man seemed to have gotten worse ~ not better from eating the "chocolate"(i.e. more depressed)...we have absolutely no comprehension what "seeds" of awakening that this event will EVENTUALLY have on this man, whether, physically, psychologically or even spiritually. There is just not enough data to surmize.
[[Maybe part of that depression could have stemmed from the reaction of his coworkers ~ who themselves being totally ignorant about the true nature of TOTAL REALITY ~ had they finally opened their eyes and checked with the neighbors of the man, who had themselves realized that the man was ostensibly telling the truth ~ THEN PERHAPS ~ an apology may have been in order.]] I have no further comment on this sad by reflective case about our reactions to the strange & very unusual!!!

THE CAMERA THAT WOULD NOT STOP FLASHING

This is NOT a story ~ but rather a series of true incidents that occurred while I was in Ohio, visiting a man named George Ritter, whom I had known since 1993. George himself, had had nothing but bizarre experiences since he was five years old, already having seen what he described as a UFO ~ even at such a tender age. [This is Geroge Ritter's UFO Abduction experience and is recorded with four pictures/sketches: the interview is called, "A U.S. ARMY INFANTRY MAN'S ABDUCTION". Since I was George's guest for over five months back in 1996, I heard of some strange goings-on about George from some of his friends. The "CAMERA" incident is only a thin slice of George's bizarre life.]
The date of the first "flash" occurred about 10am on September 24th, 1996. I know this because I recorded the incident in my diary while George was sleeping that morning. (He normally would get up a little later in the morning because he would stay up all night with the expectation of avoiding being "TAKEN" that night; most times, he was successful.)
Around 10am that September morning, I was sitting in the living room working on my manuscript about UFOs as part of the 'strange & unusual', of which George was a part of. All of a sudden, the instamatic camera of the kitchen table started to FLASH by itself. I did not hear a "click" ~ just a flash!
Two minutes later it flashed agian. George was still sleeping. By the time he got up, all was "quiet" on the kitchen front ~ so I didn't even mention the incident....
Three days later, George picked up this "KODAK STAR 535" instamatic camera & it started to "quietly flash" at him. After this happened three times ~ he put the camera between us and then THE CAMERA WENT CRAZY, flashing about thirty times, if I remember correctly.
George got the "BRIGHT IDEA" of putting the camera on the top of the fireplace AFTER REMOVING THE CAMERA'S BATTERIES. He said that that would fix the "problem"....I said that it wouldn't make any difference because the flashing was 'probably' being caused by "ANASTASIA" (my spirit lover) so he was wasting his time taking out the batteries. ANYHOW, George sat on the couch and nervously eyed the camera ~ now atop the fireplace. I also gazed toward the fireplace. TWO SECONDS PASSED: IT FLASHED AGAIN!!!
GEORGE SAID: "THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!" I said: "NO, IT'S JUST ANA. REMEMBER THE WOOD IN THE APARTMENT WHEN YOU SAID THAT IT WAS PROBABLY YOUR SPIRIT FRIEND THAT KNOCKED THE WOOD OFF THE WALL SO YOU SHOULD CHANGE THE SIGN TO READ: "WELCOME TO 'OUR' HUMBLE HOME" [?] WELL ANA IS BACK ~ THIS TIME IN OHIO INSTEAD OF NEW YORK."
I honestly don't remember what George said but I do not remember him disagreeing with me...after all, George has seen alot of truly bizare things so who was he to disagree with me?!? [In New York, he was the one who had come the day after my sign {{WELCOME TO MY HUMBLE HOME}} had mysteriously crashed to the hard wooden floor without my hearing it. He had suggested that I had a 'female spirit' in the house & that I was "insulting her" BY NOT HAVING A SIGN THAT INCLUDED HER. (I could not dispute this logic, so I did change the sign, and subsequently found out that I did have a 'female spirit' in the apartment whose name turned out to be ANASTASIA.)
This incident of the FLASHING CAMERA really has no ending or 'real' explanation, at least not one that I could hang my hat on...IT JUST HAPPENED! At least I had a witness to this incident ~ not like the other times while I was living alone and things would happen: like statues turning over mysteriously on their side ~ and lights~TVs~ & fans going on by themselves; HEY! WHAT ELSE IS NEW?!? George has had equally bizarre & paranormal events happen to him MANY TIMES TOO ~~besides seeing alien beings, SO YES, WHAT ELSE IS NEW?
ANYWAY, the camera finally 'settled down' after about an hour of these 'antics' but just to be sure, I brought the camera to bed with me that night, and set it down opposite where I was sleeping....Nothing happened that night.
The next morning (now Sept. 28th), at 9:15 AM, it flashed again...at 12:15 PM, it flashed again. After that ~ just like a volcano ~ it went "to sleep"...and as far as I know, it is still sleeping.
{{POST SCRIPT}}: WHEN GEORGE READ THE ABOVE STORY ABOUT "THE FLASH" LAST NIGHT ~ HE TOLD ME WHAT HAPPENED SUBSEQUENTLY: HE WANTED TO TAKE A PICTURE OF THE NOW DECEASED CAT ~ 'CLUSEAU' ~ BUT WHEN HE PRESSED THE KODAK BUTTON, THE FLASH COMPARTMENT BLEW UP!!! THERE WAS A BRILLIANT FLASH OF BLUE LIGHT ~ A SMALL 'POP' & SOME BLUE SMOKE....HE REMOVED THE BATTERIES THAT HE HAD PUT BACK IN AFTER THE SEPT. 27TH INCIDENT, TOOK OUT THE FILM AND DEPOSITED IT INTO THE TRASH. HIS ONLY COMMENT WAS, "ANA WAS JUST TOO MUCH FOR THAT CAMERA."
